OSTERHOUT - BRAKELEY Megan (Osterhout) Brakeley and August Kashiwa Brakeley were married on Aug. 17, 2013, in Middlebury, Vt. The ceremony took place at the Congregational Church, officiated by Pastor Andy Nagy-Benson. Following the ceremony, a wedding parade was led by Gene Childers' Yankee Doodle Brass Band through town to a reception at the couple's home on the Otter Creek. Megan is the daughter of Deborah and Donald Osterhout of Gibsonia, Pa. Megan graduated from Middlebury College and is pursuing a Masters of Environmental Management at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Science. Gus is the son of Dr. Jody and Coach Peter Brakeley of Middlebury, Vt., and holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand). Gus is a coach for Middlebury College's football and men's lacrosse programs. The couple would like to thank everyone who was involved for helping to make their special day such a joyous celebration.
