TANGEN - SCHMIDT - Daniel Barrett Schmidt of Shelburne, and Laura Pettengill Tangen of Padanaram, Ma. were united in marriage on September 1, 2012. The couple was married at the Equinox Hotel's Pond Pavilion in Manchester, Vermont. James Schmidt, brother of the groom, served as best man and Molly Pettengill, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. The couple honeymooned at the Mt. Washington Hotel in New Hampshire. Daniel is the son of Stan Schmidt and Dawn Keough of Shelburne. Laura is the daughter of Roy and Anne Tangen of South Dartmouth, Ma. Both bride and groom attended the University of Vermont. Dan is employed at State Street Bank in Boston. Laura is a teacher and an accomplished equestrian. The couple reside in Padanaram, Ma.
